December: When the time comes to complete a 5 year term (4 in the field of service and 1 in US/PR assignment) and we change gears, it always feels like time is passing in a streak. This is the fourth time we have done this: twice in Chile, once in Spain, and now in Nicaragua. What is the most difficult part? Goodbyes, which we’d rather call “farewells”!
   What a blessing to visit some of those we met in Nicaragua on a farewell round that seemed in a streak… We couldn’t reach them all, but we give thanks for our siblings in Nueva Guinea, San Carlos, Masatepe, FBC Managua, Jehová Yiré Baptist Church-San Marcos, and our family in the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua.
   If you’ve seen “The Flash, you know about the streak and about the multiverse. Quite often we’ve lived in such a streak and in a multiverse of relationships; locally, nationally, and internationally. And we think of how God, in a streak, became Jesus so that we could commune with Him in His universe with His people that we continue to learn to care for as we move into their universe, until He returns in another streak.
   Kalyn VonBerg, wrote the following paragraph at (project:go). We pray that together, from that multiverse, we will continue this learning experience to care for others in the next phase, leaving Nicaragua and starting our US/PR assignment with our move to Puerto Rico.
   “Jesus didn’t come to bring peace to the world. He didn’t come to solve political unrest or heal the world of its pain. He came to bridge the gap between each individual and God. He came to bring peace to the individual heart. There will always, always be poverty and corruption, but if we can connect and relate to individuals who carry such burdens, we can lighten the load of one. And another. And another. And through that process we’ll expand God’s kingdom here on this Earth, not solving the world’s problems, but individuals’ problems. And one by one people will be freed spiritually and eternally and the burden of this world will gradually become lighter.”

Diciembre: Cuando llega el momento de completar los términos de 5 años (4 internacionales y 1 en EE.UU./PR) y transicionamos, sentimos que pasó como un rayo. Esta es la cuarta vez que lo hacemos: dos veces en Chile, una en España y ahora en Nicaragua. ¿Cuál es la parte más difícil? Las despedidas, que preferimos llamar “los hasta luego”…
   Qué bendición visitar algunos de los que conocimos en Nicaragua en una ronda de despedidas que pasó como un rayo… No pudimos llegar a todos, pero damos gracias a Dios a nuestra familia en Nueva Guinea, San Carlos, Masatepe, PIB Managua, IB Jehová Yiré-San Marcos y la de la Región Autónoma Costa Caribe Sur de Nicaragua.
   Si has visto The Flash, conoces del rayo y el multiverso. Con frecuencia vivimos como un rayo y en un multiverso de relaciones; locales, nacionales e internacionales. Y pensamos en cómo Dios, como un rayo, se encarnó en Jesús para que pudiéramos tener comunión con Él en Su universo con Su pueblo al que seguimos aprendiendo a cuidar al movernos a su universo, hasta que Él regrese como otro rayo.
   Kalyn VonBerg, escribió el siguiente párrafo (en project:go). Oramos que juntos, en ese multiverso, sigamos aprendiendo a cuidar al prójimo en la siguiente fase de ministerio, saliendo de Nicaragua y comenzando la asignación en EE.UU./PR al mudarnos a Puerto Rico.
   “Jesús no vino a traer paz. Él no vino a resolver la inestabilidad política o sanar al mundo de su dolor. Él vino a acortar la brecha entre cada persona y Dios. Él vino a traer paz al corazón de cada persona. Siempre, siempre habrá pobreza y corrupción pero si podemos conectarnos y relacionarnos que quienes tienen tal carga, podemos aligerar la de alguien. Y alguien más. Y alguien más. Y a través de ese proceso expandiremos el reino de Dios aquí en esta Tierra, no resolviendo los problemas del mundo, sino los problemas individuales. Y uno a una serán libres espiritualmente y eternamente y su carga en este mundo gradualmente se aligerará.”
